PANY, or B LTIMOR A YI ND f 1 srniirxrinn iaorzrin i Application filed April 18,
This invention relates to a sprinkler bot tle, one of the objects being to provide a bottle the neck portion of which is so shaped and so proportioned that the contents of the bottle can not flow freely but, instead, it becomes necessary to shake the bottle in order to expel its contents. V
Heretofore, in order to produce a sprinkler it has been necessary to provide a separate attachment to be placed on the neck of the bottle. The present invention aims to eliminate a separate sprinkling attachment.
A still further object is to provide a bottle of this character the neck portion or finish of which can be produced by ordinary methods of manufacture With the foregoing and other objects in view which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts in the details of construction hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention herein disclosed may be made within the scope of what is claimedwithout departing from the spirit of the invention.
In the accompanying drawings the preferred form of the invention has been shown. In said drawings Figure 1 is a side elevation of'a bottle pro 7 vided with thefinish or neck portion constituting' the present invention. Figure 2 is a view partly in front elevation and partly in section of. a bottle provided with the present improvement. s v
Figure 3 is a view similar to Figure 2 showing the bottle partly filled and positioned to allow its contents'to be shaken therefrom.
Referring to the figures by charactersof reference 1 designates a bottle or other con-1 sired. This container has a neck 2 formed, at a point between its ends, with an interior annular shoulder 3 disposed in a plane per pendicular to the central longitudinal axis of the neck and concentric therewith." The outer portion of the neck has an opening at of less diameter than the opening in the inner or base portion of the neck. That portion of the neck surrounding the opening 4 is of re- "aria H 4 .435.; i I

N f
It has been found'in" practice that when a bottle is constructed as herein described with. the neck or finish formed with theinterior annular shoulder 8' and with the opening 4" of less diameter than the inner portion of the opening in the neck, it becomes impossible for liquid to flow freely from the bottle when in an inclined or an inverted position; It is; only by shaking the bottle that the liquid can be expelled in desired quantities. Under these; conditions the liquid will not be discharged pelling action'and there is no instantaneous IGNon'ro GARB LQWB-EY GLASS coir-,1 it
