My invention relates to a new and useful improvement in a bill fold and has for its object the provision of a novel type of bill fold which will be simple in structure,

economical of manufacture and highly eflicient in use.

Another object of the invention is the provision in a bill fold, of means for automatically securing articles such as paper bills in position in the bill fold.

Other objects will appear hereinafter.

The invention consists in the combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and claimed.

The invention comprises a main body or fold 9 having a pocket forming layer 10 mounted thereon and spaced therefrom to provide the pocket 11. Connected at one end to the outer edge of the main body 9 is a flexible member 12, preferably made from elastic. The opposite end of this member 12 is secured to one edge of a swingable fold 13. Mounted on the fold 13 is a flexible pocket forming member lispaced therefrom to provide the pocket 15. Connected to the opposite edge of the fold 13 at one end are the flexible members 16 and 17 also preferably made from elastic. The opposite ends of these members 16 and 17 are connected to the inner edge of the main body 9. Secured to and projecting outwardly from the outer edge of the main body 9 is a flap 18.

A similar 19 is secured to and projects outwardly from the inner-edge of the'mam body 9' and a strap 20 is secured to the main body 9 and adapted for clasping around the same to retain the bill fold inicl'osed ,position as shownin Fig.1.

It is preferred that the bill, when placed in the bill fold, be in an unfolded condition 3 so as to extend over substantially the entire area of the main body 9 and the fold 13. then, upon folding of the fold 13 over the fold 9 from the position shown in Fig. 2 to the position shown in Fig. 3, in addition to being secured in position, the its transverse medial line. If desired, this bill may be folded at its 95 transverse medial line before being placed in the bill fold in which event the bill may be secured in position in the manner already described.
