Application May 1, 1937; Serial No. 140210 7 Clams. (01.132-79) Another object of my invention is to provide aneat, compact toilet kit which is economical to manufacture.

Other objects will become apparent as this description progresses.

In the drawings Figure 1 is a perspective View showing my toilet kit in open position with the mirror secured to the top section so as to be disposed directly in front of the toilet articles;

Figure 2 is a cross sectional View taken on the line 2-2 of Figure 1 showing the position of the mirror and the manner of attachment to the top section;

Figure 3 is an end elevational View of my toilet kit in closed position with a, section of the end broken away to show the interior thereof;

As shown in the dravvings the toilet kit generally indicated at Ifl is formed of bottom, top

30 and side wall sections ll, !2 and !3, respectively,

made of leather or the like. Each of said sections are reinforced by suitable hacking to make them substantially rigid. stitched to the top section IS is a gusset |4 which forms the other side and end sections !5, e and ll of the bag. Secured to the outside of the gusset are interlocking fastening elements !8. stitched to the bottom section ll and extending therearound is a web [9 to which is secured interlocking fastener elements 20. As will be more particularly seen in Figure 4, the ends of the gusset and web are secured to the side wall !2 and are reinforced thereon by leather strips 2! and 22. It will be noted that the strip 22 is slitted longitudinally and stitched so that a certain amount of movement of the gusset is permitted. The side wall section |2 and gusset Hi are provided with a button fastener 40 which when locked together serves to retain the top section !3 in a substantially upright position.

Hingedly secured to the bottom section ll as by a fiexible strip 23 is a wing section 24. Provided on said wing section is a pocket 25 which serves to retain toilet articles 26. Hingedly secured to the opposite side of said wing section as by a fiexible strip 21 is another wing section 28 which serves to support a mirror` 29. It will be' seen that the mirror 29 is supported on the wing by the leather frame zaa which is stitched to said wing and which serves to retain the mirror be- 5 tween the Wingand the frame. The mirror can i be inserted through an opening in the' side, not shown.

Secured to the end of the wing section is a clip 3@ which is adapted to be clamped over and 1 secured to the top section l3, as shown in the Figures 1 and 2, to support the mirror in an open position in front of the toilet articles. In this manner the top section l3 is held substantially vertical while the mirror is supported at an 15 oblique angle. As shown in Figure 3, with the kit in closed position, the wing section 24 is in a horizontal position with the wing section 28 folded underneath so that the mirror 29 is facing downward and the clamp is positioned between 20 the two wings. With the wing sections in this position, and the top section !3 closed the coacting locking element 4l can be moved around to lock the kit. If it is desired' to use the toilet articles without using the mirror this can be 25 readily done by opening the top section 13 and leaving the wing sections in the position shown in Figure 3 wherein the mirror will be entirely hidden from view. If, however, it is desired to use the mirror, the wing sections can be swung from the position shown in Figure 3 to that of Figures 1 and 2 and secured to the top section !3.

As will be seen more particularly in Figure 4, I provide pockets 42 -on the inside of the top section for retaining other toilet articles. It will thus be seen that with my invention all of the space is utilized for retaining toilet equipment and that my kit is neat and compact.

It will be understood that various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of my invention. v

What I desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

I claim:

1. In a bag for toilet articles including a wing section for supporting toilet articles, another 45 wing section for supporting a mirror hingedly secured to said first mentioned wing section and adapted to be positioned to the front thereof.

2. In a bag for toilet articles including a wing section for supporting toilet articles, another wing section supporting a mirror hingedly secured to said first mentioned wing section, said last mentioned wing section adapted to' be positioned under said first mentioned wing section when the mirror is not in use and adapted to be positioned in front thereof when the mirror is in use.

3. In a bag for toilet articles, a. section for supporting toilet articles, a section for supporting a mirror secured to said first mentioned section, said mirror section adapted to be' positioned under said first section with the mirror facing downward when the bag is closed, said same section adapted to be supported in front of said toilet articles When the mirror is in use.

4. In a structure of the class described c'omprising top and bottom sections, a wing section for supporting toilet articles hingedly secured to said bottom, another wing section :for supporting a mirror hingedly secured to said first mentioned wing section, a clamp on said mirror 'wing section adapted to be fastened to said top section for supporting said mirror sectionin front of said toilet carrying wing section.

5. In a structure of the class described comprising top and bottom sections, a wing section for supporting toilet articles hingedly secured to said bottom, another wing section for supporting a mirror hingedly secured to said first mentioned wing section, a clamp on said mirrorwing section adapted to be fastened to said top section for supporting said mirror section in front of said toilet carrying wing section, interlocking fastener elements secured to said top and bottom sections for closing said bag.

6. In a structure of the class described comprising a top and bottom, a. wing for supporting toilet articles foldably secured to said bottom, another wing for supporting a mirror foldably secured to said first mentioned wing, a clamp secured to said last mentioned wing, said mirror wing adapted tobe positioned under said first mentioned wing and also adapted to be supported in front thereof by attaching said clamp to said top.

In a structure of the class described comprising a top and bottom, a gusset secured to said top section, -interlocking fastener elements secured to said gusset and bottom, a co-acting slide for opening and closing said interlocking elements, toilet articles supported on said top member, a wing for supporting toilet articles oldably CHARLES DOPPELT.
