- IMPROVEMENT IN CHURN-DASHERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 18l,860, dated September 5, 1876; application filed August 14, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ALFRED MGDANIEL, of the city of Dubuque, county of Dubuque and State of Iowa, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Churn -Dashers, of which the following is a specification:
The invention consists in the construction and form of the arms crossing each other at right angles, and in the form and position of the slats or brakes extending from one arm to the other, which is more fully set forth hereafter in connection with the accompanying drawing.
The figure is a perspective view of the dasher, showing my invention.
The dasher is formed of two arms, A A, crossing each other at right angles, and may be halved in the center, where they cross each other, so that they will fit snugly together, and be on the same plane on their upper and lower surfaces. In the sides of the arms are inclined inward and outward slats a b. In these slots are placed thin slots or breakers c d in the inward and outward positions, as
