IMPROVEMENT IN MOP-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 181,415, dated August 22, 1876; application filed May 16, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that we, J. W. OUBBAGE and J OHN ALEXANDER, both of Gallipolis, Gallia county, Ohio, have invented an Improved Mop-Holder, of which the following is a specification:
The drawing represents, in Figure 1, a side View, and in Fig. 2 a section, of our mop-holder.
The invention will first be described in connection with the drawing, and then. pointed out in the claim.
A represents the handle; E, a wire bent twice at right angles, and having arms that pass through holes in the ends of a plate or clamp-bar, F. The arms of wire or clamp-rod E are bent inward as well as upward, and theirends are attached to a'socket, Gr. Through the latter passes the end of handle A, the socket being secured thereto by a hand-screw, g. The cloth is placed between the middle part of clamp rod or frame E and clamp-bar F, the handle being then inserted in the socket or sliding head G, and its end pressed down against clamp-bar F. This clamps the .cloth very securely between the bar and rod,
' and secured to handle A, as and for the purpose specified.
