I My invention. relates to shoe. fasteners or clasps and refers more particularly to a resilient shoe fastener or clasp.

One object of my invention is to provide a shoe fastening or clasping means that will resiliently hold the laced portion of the shoe together.

Another object of my invention is to provide a means for holding the laced portion of the shoe together by means of bars engage able with each other, that are resiliently con nected to the shoe eyelets; 1

A further object of my invention is to provide a means'forholding together the laced portion of a shoe so that this portion thus held together will be resiliently held, thus.

doing away with undue pressure upon the instep of the foot.

A still further object of my invention is" to provide a means for resiliently holding the laced portion of a shoe together so'that by hooking or unhooking the two elements the said portion can be released or resiliently held positioned. I attain these objects preferably by the means illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein similar numerals refer to like parts throughout the several views, in which: V

2, 3, 4L, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,12, and 13, and into each one of these eyelets, a T-shaped piece 14, shown in Figure 4: is bent over at 15, as shown in Figure 5 to hold the r resilient ring, such as rubber, 16, in place.

These resilient rings are forced through the eyelets so that the hooked portion 14 remains on the inside of the shoe and through the rings that project throu 'h' the holes from 2 to 7 inclusive, the bar 1% is passed through these rings and'positioned as shown inFigure'l. V

I claim 1. The combination witha shoe provided with two rows of oppositely arranged eyelets and two bars, one endof each being pivoted to the other, of a multiple of looped resilient means formed to engage withand be held in saideyelets, said loops extending through the said eyelets. and engaging with the said pivoted bars 7 V i 2. The'combination with a shoe provided with two rows of oppositely arranged eyelets and two bars, one end of each being pivoted to the other, of a multiple of resilient loops carrying cross pieces adapted to hold part of said loops to said eyelets, said loops passing through and extending beyond the said eyelets and connected to the saidpivoted bars.
