lMPROVEMENT IN BAG-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 180,15 l, dated July 25, 1876; application filed March 10, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, JET'IE MULDER, of the city of Chicago, Uook county, Illinois, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in BagHolder and Measure; and I' do hereby declare thatthe following is a full. clear, and exact description of said invention, reference being bad to the accompanyin drawings, making a part of this specification, in Which- Figure 1 is a front view of my invention. Fig. 2 is a side view; Fig. 3, a sectional view through 8 s at Fig. 1.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in all of the figures.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed, to describe the same.
The invention consists of a hopper,A, made to hold two bushels of grain, or any other amount. The hopper is supported by the legs 111.. The mouth of sack O is placed under the projection N, and supported and kept in position by hook H, attached to rod 1". B represents a slide, which can be lowered or raised at pleasure. When raised, the grain passes out with freedom. I) b represent grooves or supports, in which slide B works. h h represent handles attached to the hopper, for the purpose of more easily removing it from place to place.
The hopper can be made out of any ordinary metal or sheet-iron, as desired, with legs of metal or Wood.
Measuring-marks can be made on the inside of the hopper, to designate the amount of grain in the measure at a given time.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is as follows:
A measuring bag holder composed of the hopper A, provided with an exterior vertical slide, B, to close the outlet, and a suspendingrod, 1", to support the bag, combined with a bottom chute, N,'and supporting-legs, substantially as set forth. JET'IE MULDER.
