The invention has `for its object a dispenser for pulverulent or pasty substances, such as face powder, powdered soap,'soap paste and the like. I

the latter operatively carried in non-rotatable relation to said upper compartment, a tubular casing operatively carried in non-rotatable relation to said partition in alignment with the aperture thereof, said tubular casing extending into proximity with the bottom of v said lower compartment and adjacent its lower end having a lateral opening, means operated by relative rotation between said v upper and lower compartments for feeding material in said lower compartment into said tubular casing through said lateral opening, and a ccnveyer screw 1n said tubular casing carried in non-rotatable relation'to saidlower compartment.
8. A device'of the character described having, in combination, a container having relatively rotatable upper and lower compartments, means responsive to said relative rotation for feeding material from said lower to said upper compartment, a lid for said upper compartment, and means operative upon closure of said lid for restraining said compartments against relative rotation.
