IMPROVEMENT IN PAPER VESSELS.

My invention consists in a box having its bottom made of pasteboa'rd, paper, or other suitable material, the same being constructed of two .disks of diflerentdiameters, united by meansof an intermediate layer or disk of paper, the larger disk being placed under the others, so as to form a combined bottom having a grooved periphery into'which the body enters, as will be hereinafter specifically described.
1n the drawing, Figure 1 represents a 1ongitudinal vertical section of my invention, and Fig. 2 a top view thereof.
The letter A designates the sides or body, and B the bottom, of the vessel. I prefer wood paper or wood pasteboard as the material to be employed for makin g the sides or body, but paper, pasteboard, or card-board can be employed. The bottom B consists of two disks, (3 and D. The disk D, having the largest diameter, is placed beneath the other, and the two are united by means of an intermediate layer ends of the strips or segments A are inserted and locked, by compressing the {sides of the grooves or recesses upon the inclosed ends.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
A box, having its bottom made of pasteboard or paper, consisting of two disks of difi'erent diameters, united by means of an intermediate layerof paper or pasteboard, the larger disk being placed under the others, so
as to form a combined bottom with a grooved periphery, into which the bodyenters, and the edge resting on the projecting edge of the lower disk, substantially as and for the object specified.
