IMPROVEMENT LN MlRROR-ADJUSTERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 178,234, dated June 6, 1876; application filed October 21, 1875.
To all whom it mag/concern Be it known that I, SARAH M. CLARK,
of the city of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee, and State of Wisconsin, have invented certain new angl useful Improvements.
book-racks for invalid chairs, reflectors for artists, and other similar purposes, and consists in the construction and arrangements hereinafter described.
The accompanying drawing represents a perspective View of my invention. A is a looking-glass. BB are the looking-glass supports. 0 O are pivots which pass through the supports B B into the frame of the lookingglass A, and upon which the looking-glass is poised and turns, D isametallic-toothed semicircular plate, and is attached to the lookingglass A by screws E E. F is a metallic spring-pawl, which operates in the toothed edge of the plate D. The spring-pawl F is on the front side of the looking-glass, if desired.
I do not claim as my invention the lookingglass supports B B, orthe manner of attaching the looking-glass to them by the pivots O O, as I am aware that they are not new.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new'and. desire to secure by Letters Patent The toothed semicircular plate D and the spring-pawl F, as combined and arranged with the looking-glass A and the supports B B, substantially as specified, and for the purposes set forth. I
