This invention relates'to pressing devices and pertains particularly to a soap press.
The primary 'ob iect of this liiventlon 1s to provide a device by means of which odd pieces of soap may be firmlypressed into a cake of sufficient size and proper form to provide a cake, thus making it possible to completely use up all of the bits of soap cakes commonly found about households.
The invention broadly contemplates the provision of a box or casing preferably of cylindrical formation and open at each end, with a cap threadably engaged over each end and having a threaded shaft extending through the centerof one of the caps and carrying a follower which is moved longitudinally in thebox by rotation of the shaft. Soap chips placedin the box will thus be pressedfirmly against the cap upon the opposite end thereof to compress the chips into a cake. Removal of the cake is effected by removing the cap against which the cake is formed and then rotating the follower slightly to force the cake from the box.
The invention will be best understood from a consideration of the following detailed de scription taken in connection with the accompanying, drawing forming a part of the present invention with the understanding, however,Ithat the invention is not confined to any strict conformity with the showing; of.

In the'use of the present soap cake press the odd endsof soap cakes are collected and broken up into smallpieces andthen sterilized by immersion in hot water for a period of from three to five vminuteslafter which they. are placed in the box and the caps or covers secured in position. i
