Abstract

265,814. Knight, S., and Maguire, F. C. April 9, 1926. Boxes combined side by side; drawer and shell boxes; fittings, internal.-A box for confectionery &c. comprises an outer hollow shell or casing b and a number of sectional or unit boxes a which collectively fill the casing and are frictionally held against accidental movement therein by one or more hinged retaining flaps c. As shown the flaps c are carried by the casing and each box a is engaged by a pair of flaps but a pair of flaps may engage more than one box and the flaps may be carried by the boxes a and engage the internal surface of the casing. Retaining flaps may be provided at both ends of the casing or the latter may be closed at one end. A number of unit boxes in the form of sectors of a cylinder may be arranged side by side in a cylindrical casing.
