TAILORING Application filed November 19, 1928, Serial No. 320,517, andin Franccfianuaryj, 1928 This invention relates to tailoring apparatus intended for pressing pants and similar articles. The apparatus consists chiefly of crease which will remain after the removal of i the article, by acting in combination with a lever with three arms which forms the crease in the seat portion conj ointly with the previously mentioned segment and stretches the gusset between the legs, this arrangement being further capable of oscillating around an axis perpendicular to that of the support ing axis to render the putting on and remov ing of the garment easier.
The accompanying drawing, given as an example of construction, shows at: Fig. l the complete device with pants in position on the legs. Fig; 2 the apparatus with the legs dismantled to show the arrangement serving to form the fold at the bottom part of the pants. Fig. 3 the deviceinclined to facilitate the fitting on and removing. Fig. 4 a plan view of the apparatus according to line 1-1 of Fig. 1. Figs. 5 and 6 a second form of construction in elevation and section taken on .the horizontal plane'l-l of Fig. ,5.
ciple of an axis-G on which are mounted, articulated by means of hinges, two metal legs J and J which are independent of each other andpivot on the axis G which is stationary. The legs J and J haverespectively 4o hinges A-A and BB. The whole of these'two legs is supported by the socket E" which formspart of the axis G, the two legs thus articulated can therefore assume any positions over a sector'of 90 degrees.
a socket C which is also movable on theaxis G andindependent of the other articulations.
This socket has a segment. P the object of a which is to put the pocket which exists in the bottompart of the pants into fold.
ing the combination. Between the hinges AB and A-B is The lower part of the axis G before its 7 base carries asocket F which is movable about the axis which carries it; at its upper. 1
part, is mounted, articulated. on a small axis V, an apparatus'comprisin three fiat rods,
two of which L,- L" aredisposed astridethe segment P and hold the material of the pocket of the bottom of the pants while the third rod K reinforces thetwo rods L,L and forms the gusset between the legs with-its extension K. c f 1 1 c To hold in the vertical position this device which sits astride the segment P, a bracket iniegralwith the socket F carries, articulated atY, a pin'O which by a suitable arrangement applies a push in an inclined-db rection from the bottom upwardly, on the triangle K.
' The segment P instead of being mounted ona special socketC may be secured, by
givingit an appropriateor resilient shape, to the pivoted arm Kandinay move therewith.
The result is that there is only a single socket which can pivot freely in two supports S This apparatus or form consists-in prin said axisU being inclined'to any angle by means of an adjuStablestop'T secured on the axis U and which abuts on the cross piece H when the apparatus, is caused'to pivot as will be seenin.Fig. 3 of the drawing. v
The legs of this apparatus can be made extensible, of boards, of tubefor wire and the elements form ng this apparatus can be transformed or simplified without mod1fy- The whole of this apparatuslcan be arranged of hollowsections heated steam,
electrical resistancesor any other 'heatingm means.

In tailoring apparatus for pants and similar garments, in combination, two metal legs shaped to conform to the article under treatment, an axis, means hinging said legs" to saidaxis, a pivoted arm adapted to form a gusset 1n the article, a socket secured on said arm, a segment mounted on said arm,
said segment serving to lift the seat portion and form a fold therein.
3. In tailoring apparatus for pants and s milar garments, 1n combination, two metal legs shapedto conform with the article under treatment, an axis, means hlngmg sald legs to said axis, a socketmounted on said axls,
" a segment mounted on said socket, said'segment serving to lift the seat portion and form a fold therein, a pivoted arm capable of being swung down, said pivoted arm havinglimbs adapted to form the folds of the seat conj ointly with said segment and stretching the gusset between'the legs.

5. In tailoring apparatus for pants and similar garments, in combination, two metal legs'shaped to conform to the article under treatment, an axis, means for hinging said legs to said axis, a socket mounted on said axis, a segment mounted on said socket, said segment serving to lift the seat portion and form a fold therein, a pivoted arm capableof'being swung down and having three limbs adapted to form the/folds of the seat conjointly with the segment and stretching the gusset between the legs and a pin carried on bracket mounted on the socket carrying the pivoted arm and adapted to keep said armformin'g the folds in'posit-ion, a horizontal rotatable member carrying said axis, bear ngs for said rotatable member, a cross "piece on which said bearings are mounted,
and a stop, mounted on said rotatable member for limiting the inclination of said axis.
