' IMPROVEMENT IN BOOK-COVER PROTECTORS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 177,512, dated May 16, 1876; application filed October 22, 1875.
To all whom it may concern;
Be it known that I, GEoReE W. HOLDEN,
of the city of Dayton, State of Ohio, have invented a Folding Book-Cover Protector, of which the following is a specification The'object of my invention is to break or crease the paper forming the cover, so that running parallel at the junction of the flaps with the outside cover, the cover is thus readi- 1y adjusted to varying sizes of books. 0 is the upper and lower flap, and D the side flap, which is folded down over the end flaps, and there is folded under, forming an under lap, as indicated by dotted lines at D. E are the upper-and lower back flaps. The paper is out on either side ot'these flaps, of suitable depth to suit the length of book. The edges of the side flaps are gummed, and with the creases formed as described, this form of cover is readily adapted to books of varying sizes.
What I claim as my invention is' A book-cover protector folded as described, and having creases or corrugations in lines parallel to its outer folds, to adapt it to fold over book-covers of various sizes, substantially as set forth.
