The block 21 is provided with abushing 25through which the punch 26jextends and is reciprocably mounted Inasmuch as the die block 24 and the block 21 are connected together by the pin 22 their relative positions 7 are constantly maintained, and the die block is provided with an opening 27 to receive the punching end of the punch 26. As shown herein, the upper and lower punches are shaped to" punch rectangular holes in the work, whereas the side or lateral punches are designed to punch round holes. The punch 26 is caused to slide in the bushing 25 through the forward and rearward sliding movement of the block 28- which is prov'idedwith a T- slot 29 to receive the head 30 of the punch 26. This permits ofthe movement of the punch with respect to itsoperating block 28 and-in conjunction with the block 21 and die block 2%. The punch is moved in and out of opera tive position by the sliding movement ofthe block 28 which is actuated by the lnternal drum 81 whichis provided with cam-like-recesses 32. about its-periphery.
