This invention relates to card or game tables, an object of the invention being to provide a cardtable composed entirely of metal having hollow legs constituting ash receptacles.

A further object is to provide a table'in depressed portions at the corners thereof, having openings therein registering with hollow legs, whereby ashes, cigarette and cigar stumps'and the like maybe dropped down the legs of the table; and said depressed portions are adapted to receive screensand cigar and cigarette supports which can be removed as a unit as occasion may require. Furthermore the depressed portions of the table top provide spaces in which glasses may be contop of the table;'

1 represents the top of my improved table I which is preferably stamped or otherwise formed from sheet metal, havingdepending flanges'2 at its edges. The table topmay, of course, be of any desired shape butis shown of square or rectangular form and shall be so described.

, The top in each corner is made with an opening 3 and below this opening a sleeve l is located which is smaller in diameter than the opening, and its upper end has an annular ofiset portion 5 to receive a screen 6 thereon. This sleeve etis shown as a separate part fixed to the table top. Wherever it is possible this sleeve may 'be formed as an integral part of the table if desired.

The screen 6 carries'a post 7 on which a cigarette or cigar support 8 is located, and

the screen and the cigar or cigarette support constitute a single member which can be conveniently removed and replaced as occasion may require. The screen and the ofiset portion and opening are of such size as to ac- 7 commodate an ordinary drinking glass with in convenient reach of the floor.

The table top is supported by four legs 9. Each leg 9 is tubular in form and is adapted to fit over the sleeve 4 and secured to said sleeve bya-bayonet joint or other suitable coupling means which will hold the parts securely together.

receptacle 15 removably held against the bottom of the table by spring clips 16 so that in said box score cards, playing cards, pencils and other articles may be kept. Instead of connecting the legs to the table top, as above described, I may pivotall connectnthe legs as shown at 17 in Figure and provide elbow braces 18 connecting the legs to the table top 1 so as to-brace said legs when in Vertical position to permit said legs to be folded against the top when desired.

My improved table constitutes a great convenience as well as a strong and durable article. For example, each player has at the corner of the table a receptacle for ashes or a place on which to rest aglass. The ashes and cigar and cigarette stumps may .be dropped down the legs of the table into the receptacles 12 which latter may be removed whenever it is desired to empty the same. I I may of course provide various means for holding the nested legs when detached from the table top but I have shown in Figure 4a simple means which includes the provision of spring clips 19 fixed to the under side of the table top and under which the nested legs may be secured, as clearly shown in Figure 4. While I have illustrated what I believe to be a preferred embodiment of my invention it is obvious various changes and alterations might be made in the general form of the parts described without departing from my inventionand hence I do not limit myself to the precise details set forth but consider myself at liberty to make such changes and alterations as fairly fall within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.

1. A table, includin a top having openings therein, sleeves xe'd to the top and registering with said openings, and removable hollow legs coupled to said sleeves, said hollow legs of difl'erent diameters whereby 7 said legs can be telescoped one within the other when detached from the table:
