This invention relates to the manufacture of four-in-hand cravats. In observing the use of suoli cravats I have discovered that the ditculty with' the proper tying of them, together with short life, has been due to improper attachment of the filler in the tie withthe body of the tie itself. To solve this diliicnlty and to give the crvavat certain advcravat, turned inside out, thev attachment Y being .made by a chain stitch.

I claim of hand stitches, and the lines of hand stitches commencing at opposite ends of the cravat, crossing each other in approximately the mathematical center of the cravatv and ending approximately three-lifths of the length of thecravat from where each started.
