This invention relates to improvements in containers, particularly for jewelry, as for instance rings and itis the principal object of my invention to provide a container in book-form allowing the convenient and nonconspicuous carrying of the jewelry by salesmen or the like not attracting the attention of hold-up-men and other nefarious persons while being pleasing to the eye and m ornamental in its appearance.
I Another object of my invention is the provision of a jewelry box in book-form constructed in a peculiar manner from any suitable material and decorated in any color and design inexpensive in its construction yet durable and efficient in operation.
A further object of my invention is the provision of a jewelry container or box in the form of a diminutive sized box adapted m to receive, for instance rings of considerable thickness and equipped with means for securely holding and displaying such rings.
A still further object of my invention is the provision of a jewelry-box composed of a plurality of parts assembled and held together in a specific, novel and improved man- These and other objects and advantages of my invention will become more fully apparcut as the description thereof proceeds, and

As illustrated, the jewelry container according to my invention has the form of a diminutive booklet having a body 10, ornamented on its outer or top cover in any desired Way, as for instance indicated at 11. The body 10 has a certain depth adapted to accommodate rings of even considerable thickness and is coated in any desired suitable manner, well known in the art of book-. binding. Integral with the top plate of the body 10 a closing flap 12 is provided ada ted to be folded as indicated at 13 over the ack of the wooden or other frame from which the body is made, as indicated in end view, Figure 6.
This frame of the body 10 has formed therewith a shoulder 10 for the reception of a frame 14 adapted when in place within the body 10 to hold a lining 15, silk or the like in place as indicated in Figure 2, which like inscription in gold or other lettering.
The cover 12 has secured to its inner face by means of the frame 16 a pad 17 or the like provided at its lower outer face with a packet 18 for the reception of a ring or the li e.-
It will be evident that the material of the lining 15, and the pad is drawn over the respective frames and merely stretched and held down in place within the body 10 and the cover '12 respectively, by tucking its ends underneath the frames or by gluing the same. to the frames and body or cover in any conventional manner.
The operation of my device will be entirely clear from the above description and-the accompanying drawing and need therefore, not be further explained in detail. I have shown as anexample the preferred form of my device, but reserve my right to make such changes therein as come within the scope of the appended claim without departure from my invention.

I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
A melry display box in form of a diminutive klet comprisin a frame-like wooden body, an outer cover p ate for the same having its margin projecting beyond the edges of said body, a cover flap integrally made with said cover, plate adapted to be folded upon the body along the inner rear edge 10 thereof, an inner lining for said body, means holding the lining in place and a pad on the inside of said cover flap having a pocket formed at its lower part for the rece tion of a ring, and means for holding sai pad 15 in lace.
