The invention relates to an improved liquid fuel which otters greatndvantages and which consists of butane either alone. or in mixture With a butylene in a liquid condition as it can be obtained by col'npression. The new fuels can be readily vaporized and excel by a. moderate tension in a liquid condition and a, high calorific power and they can be used for example for lighting, for Welding 10 and cutting metals, as a fuel for internal combustion engines and for other purposes. Butylene can be. prepared in various isomeric forms for example by catalytic-ally dehydrating hutyl alcohols.
I claim:
Liquid fuel consisting of a liquefied mix lure of butane and butylenc.
