COAT SHIELD.
Application filed December 4, 1926.
This invention relates to coats and more particularly to shields to protect theinside portion of the coat lying below the arm hole, and is adapted especially to coats whose 5 lining does not extend throughout the entire area of the coat. 7
The principal object of the invention is the provision of a shield of substantially the same material as the body of the coat sewed 10 in place underneath the arm hole, which will act as a finish to the lining and at the same time prevent wear and tear of the lower portion of the arm hole and the inside of the coat, and thus give the coat a longer life. V
Other objects will appear as the disclosure progresses. The drawings are intended merely to indicate a possible embodiment of the invention. t is obvious that the actual needs of manufacture may necessitate certain changes. It is therefore not intended to limit the invention to the embodiment Figure 2 is a section 'on line22of Fig ure 1.
