The reference numeral 10 indicates generally a container of any desirable shape, and

formed from glass, china,-.or any other suitable material, and provided With a handle 11, and a side spout 12. The container 1() is formed near its top with a. groove 13 Vwhich supports a nickel plated ring 14 which may be held against turning by pins 15y engaged in the side of the container, and finger catches 16 project from this ring 14. The container 10 is also formed with a ridge 17 adapted to support the ring 18 of a soap foaming` and draining chamber formed With a lower ring 19 and a plurality of side ribs 2O secured between the rings. The ring 18 is split at several points, such as at 21, so that a split is alignable With each of Vthe linger catches 16, and one side of each split is formed with a slot 22 so that upon turning the soap foaming and draining chamber in the proper direction, the linger catches 16 engage in the slots 22 locking the chamber in position. The chamber may be removed by turning in the opposite direction, freeing the slots from the catches, andthen lifting the chamber out from the container 10.

The modiiication illustrated in Fig.'` 5 .shows the use of a catch linger 16 pivotally attached to the ring 111. A stop `2dk is integral With the ring 111s, and .an adjusting `screw 29 is engaged in the stop. i1 spring 30 is fastenedat one endto the ring 111, and the other endof the spring'acts against thecatch finger 16 pressingthe finger against the+adliusting screw `29, Which may be set .so that the catch finger is engageable in the yslot 22. Thisy radjusting feature may be useful in cases Where different foaming and draining chambers are used, and the slots 22`in `these chambers are at slightly different heights. y Liquid soap 81 may beLstored in the con7 Vtainer 10, though the invention is not limited to the specific use of liquid soap. Normally the cover 28 is on the container 10 land the sub-cover Qzis over the spout 12,' as shown in Fig. 1. In operation ofthe invention device, the covers are removed, and brush 26 lheld byV handle 2T is inserted through the spout 12 into the container, and in the liquid soap 31. The soap wetted brush is then removed from the container, and briskly rubbed in a circular motion against the ribs 20 of the foaming and draining chamber.

While a portion of the liquid soap and a certain moist portion of the foam flows downward on the ribs and gathers in the container 10, thus eliminating Waste. The soap foam may be applied to a persons face for shaving purposes.

While I have illustrated and described my inventionwith some degree of particularity, I realize that in practice various alterations therein may be made. I therefore reserve the right and privilege of changing the details of construction or altering the arrangement of the correlated parts Without departing from the spirit or the scope of the appended claims.

Having thus described myinvention, what r with the interio1 thereof for the application of a brush and formed with a groove near the top end7 a ring secured in the groove7 finger catches projecting from the ring, a

ridge in the container, a draining and foam ing chamber with a ring engageable on the ridge, and the latter mentioned ring being formed with slots engageable by the finger catches to hold the chamber in place.

2. In a hygienic shaving soap receptacle, the combination with a container, of a ring secured in said container near the upper` open end thereof, finger catches projecting from said ring, and a foaming and draining member disposed in said container comprising a ring having splits and slots therein adapted to receive said finger catches when said foaming and draining` member is moved relative to said container in a predetermined direction for removabl retaininv` said foaming and drainino' member in place.

In a hygienic shaving soap receptacle the combination with a container, of a ring secured in said container, finger catches pivotally mounted on said ring, an extension onV said ring having threaded apertures therein, a set screw screwthreaded' in said aperture and adapted to engage said pivotally mounted finger catches for adjustably positioning the same, and a foaming and draining member disposed in said container comprising a ring having` splits and slots therein adapted to receive said adjustable finger catches for holding said foaming and draining member in place in said container.

A hygienic shaving soap'receptacle of the class described comprising a container having a groove around the upper open extremity thereof, a ring disposed in said groove7 fingers mounted on said ring comprising a downwardly disposed section and a horizontally disposed extension, and a foaming and draining member disposed in said container comprising spaced apart ring sections having slots in the extremities thereof adapted to receive the horizontally disposed extension of said fingers for removably attaching said foaming and draining member to said first mentioned ring, the downwardly disposed portion of said lingers being accommodated in the space between said ring sections.

5. A foaming and draining` device for shaving soap receptacles comprising a ring capable of being secured in the shaving soap receptacles, fingers on said ring` and a wire cage capable of being disposed in said recep tacles comprising an upper split ring having slots therein adapted to receive said fingers, the said fingers being engaged in the said slots, a lower ring and spaced ribs attached at one end to said upper split ring at the other end to said lower ring. 6. A foaming and draining device for shaving soap receptacles comprising a ring adapted to be .secured in a groove of a receptacle, fingers on said ring, and a wire cage member removably attached to said fingers comprising a ring having slots therein adapted to receive said fingers.
