Application filed November 27, 1926, Serial No. 151,227, and. in Germany November 2'7, 1925.
Driving mechanisms for dynamo pocketlamps operated by toothed segments possess the inconvenience that the return of the toothed segment into its initial position is limited by astationary stop in order to se cure permanent meshing of the toothed segment with the driving mechanism. This stop is stationary so that its position can not be varied and so that the taking to pieces 01: the drivin mechanism is impeded. Owing to the stationary stop the elements of the driving mechanism strike strongly the one against the other.
According to the invention these inconveniences are obviated by providing, for limiting the return movement of the toothed segment, an elastic stop for a nose which is connected to the driving mechanism, said stop being adapted to be adjusted by means of an adjusting screw so that the nose of the driving wheel may eventually pass freely along said stop, the toothed segment being thus disengaged from the. driving wheel. The adjusting screw serves further for holding a slotted tongue fixed on the hand lever for the toothed segment, when said hand lever is in the closing position.
The improved stop according to the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing, in the only figure.
On the axle a of a gear wheel 6, driven by a toothed segment 0, a spring plate (Z is fixed in which a blade spring (3 is located which, after each releasing of a hand lever 0 fixed on the toothed segment 0, returns this hand lever and the toothed segment 0 into the initial. or open position. According to the invention a nosef is arranged on the spring plate (Z and pressed by the action of the spring 0 against an elastic abutment f/ so that the plate (Z with the gear wheel Z) can .be rotated in backward direction only so tar that the end tooth of the segment 0 remains still in gear with the gear wheel. The outer end of the blade spring 0 is fixed in a cutout portion h of the plate (Z and the inner end is fixed to a nose 2' stamped out of the spring holder 70. The spring holder 70 has a nose Z which, by the action of spring 0, is permanently pressed against the abutment be. To adjust the elastic abutment g with regard to the nose 7 of the plate (Z, or to remove said abutment from the path of this nose, an adjusting screw it is provided which bears against the lower side of the abutment g. It the screw it is screwed out of its nut so far that the resilient abutment liberates the nose f of plate (Z, this plate together with the gear wheel will continue to rotate backward so that the toothed segment 0 comes out of gear with gear wheel Z) and can be removed from the lamp-casing by means of the hand-lever 0.
The screw a serves at the same time'when the hand lever is in the closing position for holding a slotted tongue p hingedly connect-ed to said hand lever 0.
I claim z- 1. A stop for driving gears of dynamo pocket-lamps, comprising in combination with a hand lever, and a toothed segment, a driving gear wheel, a nose projecting "from said gear wheel, a resilient abutment for stopping said nose if said toothed segment is in the extreme position, and an adjusting screw for bringing said abutment out of the path of said nose.

A stop for driving gears of dynamo pocket-lamps, comprising in combination with a hand lever, and a toothed segment, a drivinggear. wheel, a nose projecting from said gear wheel, a resilient abutment for stopping said nose it said toothed segment is in the: extreme position, and an adjusting screw for bringing said abutment out of the path of said nose, and a slotted tongue hingedly mounted on said hand lever and being held by said adjusting screw when said hand lever is in the closing position.
