Appncatmnmapnias, ists'. swarm: 24250; Y v l Thisv inventionl 'relates' tov a cabinet? for holding articlesofffood land12 thelikef; the general'object ofthe inventionabeingtomake the "cabinet portableso 'thati it can-be carried by a motor vehicle and used for camping purposes as well as in a kitchen.
Another object of the invention is to provide a table which can be used in connection with the cabinet and which is oldable soA that it can be placed alongside the cabinet.
This invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claim.
In describing my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in whichz Figure l is a view showing the device placed on a running board of an automobile.
Figure 2 is a view showing the device set up for use. Y
Figure 3 is a side view of Figure 2.
Figure 4 is a side view with the table in foldedposition.
Figure 5 is a rear view with the table in set up position.
Figure 6 is a detail view showing one of the hook members on the cabinet.
Figure 7 is a detail View showing one of the perforated ears on the table.
In these views, 1 indicates the cabinet which has its front provided with the doors 2 so that access can be had to the interior thereot1 and it has handles 3 on its sides so that it can be easily carried from place to place. A vertical partition 4 is arranged in the cabinet and shelves 5 and a box 6 are placed in the spaces formed by said partition. Vertical strips 7 are placed in front of the shelves to prevent articles from rollin 0H the shelves. The box 6 can be arranged to hold ice or other material. Thus it will be seen that the cabinet constitutes a kitchen cabinet for holding various articles. l
A pair of hook members 8 are fastened to the top of the rear part of the cabinet with their upper parts projecting above the top with perrorations 9 in these projecting parts so that the cabinet can be suspended from suitable supports. A table 10 is provided with eyes 11 for engaging the hook members Ssor thati one portedthefcaihinetwnd icxklahe. legs512' arehingedto the oppitensidsm thntiwhernl the xlegs-aresumng @downwardly the will be held in horizontal position by said legs and the hook members on the cabinet, as shown in Figures 2, 3`and 5. When the legs are folded the table will assume a vertical position, as shown in Figure 4, at the rear of the cabinet, though it will still be supported by the hook members 8. The legs are held in vertical position by the braces 13, each brace being composed of two links 14 which are pivotally connected together with their outer ends hinged to the leg and table respectively. A lug v15 on one link engages a part of the other link to hold the parts in bracing position. Brackets 16 are arranged on the bottom of the cabinet and these braces are adapted to receive the eyes 11 of the table when the cabinet is suspended from a wall or the like, to hold the table in set up position at the front of the cabinet. VWhen the table is to be` supported or arranged at the front of the cabinet it will be understood that the cabinet must be a suicient distance from the ground or other surface as to enable the legs 12 to hold the table top in horizontal position with the eyes 11 engaging the brackets 16.
From the foregoing it will be seen that I have rovided akitchen cabinet and a folding talble which can be placed on the running board of an automobile, as shown in Figure 1, or which can be carried in any other kind of avehicle so that it can be transported to the camping grounds and easily and quickly set up. The cabinet will provide a storage place for various articles of food and other articles as well as ice and the table after being set up can be used for various purposes, such as in the preparation of food and for a dining table.
The doors of the cabinet should be made to lit dust and vermin tight and I prefer to form the ice box with two compartments, one for ice and onevfor food. When the device is hung on the wall it will take no floor space, rthus making it desirable for small kitchens and the like.
It is thought from the foregoin description that the advantages and nove features of my invention will be readily apparent.
I desire'it to be understood that I may make changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several lll parts, provided that such changesyfall Within the scope of the appended claim.
What I claim is A campers outfit comprising in combina-* tion a cabinet, doors closing the frontA ofthe plates secured, to the under side of the table top and projecting beyond one end thereof tol 'receive said hooks when the cabinet is supported upon the ground with the table top projecting horizontally therefrom, and to *permit said top to be folded at one side of :the cabinet parallel therewith, and brackets 'depending from the bottom of the cabinet and adapted to be engaged by said slotted plates to hold the table top associated with the cabinet when the latter is supported in spaced relation to the ground In testimony -Whereof I affix my signature.
