DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING CARDS, ETC.
Application filed April 26, 1926. Serial No. 104,810.
This invention aims to provide a novel means for holding cards and the like, the construction of the article being such that its capacity may be increased by the addition of one unit to another.
It is within the province of the disclosure to improve generally and to enhance the utility of devices of that type to which the invention appertains.
IVith the above and other objects in View which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and in the details of construction hereinafter described and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention herein disclosed, may be made within the scope of what is claimed, without departing from the spirit of the invention.
In the drawings Figure 1 shows in perspective, a device constructed in accordance with the invention; and
Figure 2 is a side elevation.
The article forming the subject matter of this application preferably is made of Wire, and includes side pieces 1 which are disposed in parallel relation throughoutlthe major portion of their length, the side pieces being supplied at their upper ends with hooks 2 connected by a cross member 3 havconnected to the side piecesl ing a suspension element 4, such as an upstanding loop. The card-holding means em-.
bodies any desired number of cross arms 5 and supplied with upstanding fingers 6 at their ends, the fingers 6 being located about parallel to the side pieces 1.
In practical operation, the cards or other 40 objects which are to be held are thrust in wardly between the fingers 6 and the side pieces 1, and are supported by the cross arms 5. Any one article constructed as described above may be suspended by means of the part 4. When it is desired to increase the capacity of the article, this is done by engaging the hooks 2 of one unit with the lowermost cross arm 5 of another unit, as" shown in Figure 1, the article, thus, being continued to any desired length, and the capacity being increased accordingly.
