WILLIAM ADAMS, OF LONG ISLAND, KANSAS.
IMPROVEMENT IN FLOWS-c Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 160,989, dated March 23, 1875; application tiled February 1, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM ADAMS, a resident of Long Island, Phillips county, State of Kansas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Prairie Breaking- Plows, of which the following, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, is a full, clear, and exact description.
The object of my invention is to attach a shear cutting-knife to the steel plow-share, so
that the same may cut the roots of the sod,
calling on the mold -board to merely turn it over.
Figure 1 is a top of my invention as attached to the ordinary steel plow-share.
In my invention, A is the plow-share, and B my attachment, the attachment running out at right angles from the point of the plow, and on a line parallel with said point, extend- WILLIAM ADAMS. Witnesses:
