are provided with a series of holes one abovel the other, through which the connecting-rods pass, by means of which the connecting-rods and adjustable rest may be raised or lowered to the height required. The connecting-rods are held irmly in position by means of setscrews passing downward through the center of each upright, and intersecting the holes through which the connecting-rods pass, the lower ends of the set-screws pressing upon the connecting-rods, and thus holding them in position.

I claim as my invention, and wish to secure by Letters Patent- The combination of the adjustable rest a, provided with stems b b, with the uprights c c, having a series of holes, and the set-screws d d, substantially as and for the purpose described.
