This invention relates generally tofwrist' ornaments, the invention as here disclosed being more particularly designed forgem bodiment in a Wrist vanity case or mirror adapted to be worn upon the wrist of the user. Y
- The invention has for an object the pro '.vis ion of a. novel device of this; sort, a "further specific object relating vision of a novel safety attachlngmeans to: securing the article uponfa racelfet '01 wristband. v For further comprehension of the invem tion, and of the objects and advantages thereof, reference will be had tothe following description and accompanying drawing, and to the appended c aims in which the various novel features of the invention I are more particularly set-forth.
view showing my improved device asin the form of a vanity case worn upon the wrist.--
Fig. 2-is aface view of the device.
Fig. 3 is a similar view to Fig. 2 but Fig. 5 is alongitudinal sectional View I the'line 5.5 of Fig. 3.
' vide avanitycase com rising abody 1O understood that the. shape of the, case may be varied, or different articles made use of as ornaments or otherwise. This member has hinged'thereto at one side thereof, a cover 11 in the outer face of which a mirror 12 is set. Within the caseI rovide the containers 1 1 and 15 for ob ects such as a powder puff and rouge. This case may have attached thereto a bracelet suchas shown at 16 in Figs. 2 and 3, or a wristband such as shown at 17 in Fig-'1. v
vIn connection with my improved device I provide a novel means for detachably securing the bracelet or Wristband to the case. As here shown a horizontal partition element 20 is fixedly mounted in the case body and is spaced a distance above the bottom thereof. This partition element may have an upturned surrounding flange 21 which projects above the flange of the body 10, and may engage within the flange of the cover when the latter is closed. Any suitto'thepro by slots 23 into several sections which press against the container wall. The lower por- Fig-,1 of the drawing is a perspective,
back to reveal v7 v the showing. the means for attaching the bracelet on wristband, this view being taken 'on of polygonal shape, alt ough it is .to. be
=i1ble"cooperating means may be provided on. the cover flange and the flange 21 to vlock thecover in closed position, The partition isformed with an aperture in which the powder puff container 15 is set, the
container being frictionally held in posltion. This may be conveniently effected by formmg a downturned flange 22 on.the ed e of.
the said apertureand splitting said ange tionfofthe container, which'proj'ects downward through the aperture in the partition 20, may be slightly constricted as shown ed e wall of said aperture; I
:lid bly mounted in thebodylO to which the caseiis to be attached. Normallv the bar 25 is held in position with length ofthe' case, so that displacement or provide a shoulderwhich seats on the of the a a case, and extending'along the bottoin th'ereof longitudinally of the case, is a flat bar 25which projects at its ends through slots 26 inthe end wall of the said body, and is formed with hooks 27 on its opposite ends 1 vto receive either the wristband or bracelet beaks ofthe hook locatedwithin the confines ofv the case, the distance between, I said beaks being slightly less. than the --loosening of the bracelet or wristband is prevented. This positioning of the bar is Fries. Y
effected by means of a in 28 thereon which project's-upward there rom and-engages in 14. If it is desiredto remove the wrist band or bracelet from attachment to the case the container isremoved irom osition, I
a socket 29, in the bottomof the container and the bar 25,:noved longitudinal .y, alten nately mopposite directions so as .to expose the entrances to the hooks 27. V
Having thus described my invention, I
what I claim as new and desire to protect by Letters Patent of the United States is i as follows 1. In combination, a vanity case, a pair" of hooks adjustably positioned'on the ends thereof, and having their beaks normally,
within the confines of the case, and a wrist encircling element attached to said hooks expose the beaks thereof.
