ll'fhat l claim my invention is z* l. ln a combing machine, a top comb 'Frame carrying,l a top comb and means tor giving said top comb a horizontal movement comprising an oscillatingr shalt, a sliding member and ways whereby said sliding' member may be moved horizontally and rectilinearly and a linlt connected at one end with said shalt and at the other end with said sliding` member and connections between said sliding member and said` top comb traine whereby the movements ol' said sliding' member will be communicated to said lop comb traine and said top comb will be eiven a sin'iilar horizontal rectilinear movement.
In a combing machine, means for operating a top comb comprising an oscillating shalt and a top com i trame, and connections comprisingn links and blocks operatively connected thereto, whereby the ends ot' said links farther lrom said shaft will be given a horizontal movement, and transmit said horizontal movement to said trame.
