IMPROVEMENT INWMODES OF ATTACHING METALLIC LATHS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 1555526, dated September 29, 1874; application filed V A Septemher, 1874.
To all `whom it mag/concern:
Be it known that I, PHLLANDEE E. LANE,
of Mount Vernon, in the county of Knox and laths; and to do this successfully did not only require previous mechanical preparation of the studs and laths by, punching and cutting, but
it also necessitated the use of better iron, to
enable it to stand or undergo, without breaking, the subsequent bending or riveting, than would otherwise have to be employed.

In the annexed drawings, Figure 1 is a front elevation of a section of metallic furring, the laths being fastened to the studs in accordance with my invention. What I claim as. my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The interlocked laths A and studs B, in coml bination with 'the wire-ties C, substantially as and for the purpose specified.
