LIGHTING-FIXTURE SUPPORT.
Application filed February 21, 1921. Serial No. 446,801.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that JOHN .VELOIO, citizen of the United States of America, residmg at Youngstown, inthe county of Mahoning and State of Ohio, has invented certain new and useful Improvements in Lighting-Fixture Supports, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to electric lighting The principal object is to provide a support that will conceal the electric wire. v
Another object is to provide a support that will be flexible, in that each section of the support is so joined so as to allow of universal movement.
Another object is to provide a support, neat in design, and which may be built up to any length desired.
The drawing illustrates a preferred embodiment of the invention. 'However, it is to be understood that in adapting the same to meeting different conditions, various changes in the form, and minor details of construction, may be resorted to without departing from the nature of the invention as claimed and set forth in the drawings:

Figure 5 is a side elevation showing the inter-fitting relation between two adjacent link members.
Corresponding and like parts are referred to in the following description andjhdicated in the several views of the drawing is a perspective view of a snap by like reference characters.
By referring to Figure 1- it will be seen I have provided a ceiling plate 1 whichis secured in any ordinary way to the ceiling. Into this plate I have provided an attaching member 2 provided with a plurality of attachment ends 3. Into these attachment ends 3 are secured the upper end members a of the fixture supports 5.
At the lower end of the fixture supports 5, I have shown a bowl 6 attached thereto.
It is understood that any form of fixturev vmay be used as desired.
By referring to Figure 4 it will be seen that I have provided a bolt which passes 'ternal channel 17 for through the fixture 8 and which secures an eye member 9. To this eye member 9 is secured the lower end section 10 which is provided with a channel opening 11 for the purpose of allowing the electric wire to be connected to the electric fixtures and 1 lights within the bowl 6.
By referring to Figure 3 it will be seen that I have shown the two half sections 12 which have ball shaped ends 13 and 1 1.
The ball shaped ends 13 lit over the lower end section 10 when the snap ring 15 is placed over the end 14 and snapped into the circular groove 16, thereby holding the two halves securely in position around the lower end section 10. The fixture supports 5 are now built up in a similarmanner with the exception that the two halt sections 12 are placed so that the ball shaped ends 13 fit over the ball shaped ends 14:. The length of the fixture supports 5 may be built up in this manner until the desired length has been secured. It will be seen by referring to Figure 3 that when this is done the fix ture supports 5 are provided with. an inwire.
What I claim is: 1. In a device of the class described, two hollow hal't' sect-ions formed with a. ball shaped portion at each end one ball end being smaller than the other ball end in order that the smaller ball end formed by plac- .ing the said two half sections together will loosely fit within opening within larger ball end so as to form a universal joint a circular recess formed on the exterior of said two half sections, a snap ring formed to snap into said circular recess. substantially as described for the purpose set forth.
