CAPSULE CARRIER.

Be it known that SAMUEL F. STONE, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Bremerton, in the co-unty of Kitsap and State of lVashington, has invented new and useful Improvements in Capsule Carriers, of which the following is a specification.
The object of the invention is to provide a simple and eflicient means for holding and attaching a capsule or like small and relatively fragile object to a package or envelope used, for example in drug stores forcontaining medicines in powdered and other forms, particularly when the conditions lald down in the prescription or instructions of the physician require the use of the capsule in connection with or in definite relation to the contents of the package and therefore is associated therewith in the treatment ordered; and with this object in view the invention consists in a construction and combination of parts of which a preferred embodiment is shown in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a view of a capsule holder embodying the invention applied in the operative or holding position to a package or container of the envelope type.
Figure 2 is a sectional view of the same showing in dotted lines the open position of the clamp.
Figure 3 is a detail view of the device prior to its application to the package.
A holder consists of a foldable attaching plate or clamp 10 carrying a pocket 11 for. the reception of a capsule as indicated at 12, the pocket, which may be of Celluloid, cardboard or any similar material being secured to the attaching plate or clamp in registration with an opening 13 formed therein, the attaching plate or clamp comprising a single blank of relatively thin pliable metal or Serial No. 512,010.
its equivalent folded or bent as at 14 on a transverse line to form relatively movable 46 wings 15 and 16 of which the latter is provided with the opening 13 in registration with the pocket 11, and either or both of gle 14 between the wings.
When applied to the package `the holder constitutes a safe means of retaining the capsule against loss or crushing while being carried, and it is only necessary to separate the wings forming the elements of the clamp in order to release the contents of the pocket.
Having described the invention, what is claimed as new and useful is A capsule carrier comprising a sheet of pliable material folded upon itself along a transversely disposed line lying midway be` tween the ends of the sheet and which divides the sheet into oppositely disposed wings both of which are imperforate, one of the wings having all portions of its exterior surface lying in the same plane, the other wing having a marginal area all portions of the exterior surface of which lie in the same plane, the last mentioned wing having a central pocket formed therein and which is completely surrounded by the plane marginal edge portion of the said wing and having its concaved side surface lying opposite the plane and imperforate intermediate portion of the opposite wing.
In testimony whereof he alixes his signature.
SAMUEL F. STONE.
