I found with my invention that the same canbe made to rigidly clamp anyobject to be rotated so that the Wrench may be used for unscrewing pipesor battered nuts and bolts to whichthe ordinary wrench couldnot be applied. In addition the wrench when once applied to the nut or pipe remains in position until the operating mechanism has been released so that the usei1 may remove his hands from t-he wrench without the same becoming disengaged thereby. eliminating the necessity of resetting the wrench.`
^ With theparts as 'arranged micrometric adju'stmentcal .be secured so that the wrench can be utilized -to grip upon any surface desired. In certain instances the Wrench when required'zan be used as a vise, thel "to uses 4 I within the scoperof the followingiclaims.
