To all whom it may concern; Be it known that I, FREDERICK CHARLES LEE, a subject of the King of Great Britain, and a resident of the city of Toronto. in the county of York, in the Province of Ontario, Canada,; have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Suspenders, of which the following is the specification.

My invention relates to improvements in suspenders and the object of the invention is to devise a 'suspender of the type comprising loop-like shoulder strapsextending around the shoulders and a detachable connection at the lower end for connecting the loop to the trousers of .the wearer and a cross back connection, between the loops at each side of the back and the object of my invention is to provide a connection between the loop members and the cross strap and between the upper and lower portions of the loop as will permit ofa free flexible movement to conform with the movements of the body and also permit of the ready adjustment of the loops in accordance with the height of the wearer so thatthe cross back connection will be in proper position and it consists essentially of the arrangement and construction of parts as herein-' after more particularly. explained.

1 and 2 indicate loop members formed of resilient fabric and extending around the shoulders of the wearer, the lower portion of the loop being connected in the usual manner by a wire tab 3. the front portion of the loop passing downward through the tab 3 and then upward.

The forward portion of each loop extends upward through a buckle 4 in front of the centre cross bar 4* thereof and behind the top and bottom cross bars of the buckle as clearly indicated in Fig. 2. 5 is a triangular loop connector. A connector 5 is located over such shoulder blade of the wearer with their adjacent sides set substantially vertical.

The lower end of the back portion of the loop 1 extends upward and passes around the portion 5 of the triangular loop 5, the free end being connected to the major portion thereof by a line of stitching forward portion of the loop 1 as before described extends through the buckle 4 and passes upward therefrom in front of and.

By this means it will be seen that the loops 1 and 2 may be easily adjusted, the forward portion of each loop slipping freely around the portion 5 of the corresponding loop connector 5 throwing theloop to the prop r position and at the same time the cross band may be easily adjusted so as to draw the loops 1 and 2 and the loop connectors 5 more or less close together. Also such a connection provides-for a free fiexible movement of the Suspender so that it will readily conform to the movements of the wearer at all times.

What I claim as my invention is:

In a suspender, the combination with the tabs adapted to be detachably connected to the sides of a pair of trousers, a loop member divided into two portions extending upwardly from each tab, the rear portions of the loops converging towards the centre of the back of the wearer, front buckles through which the front portions of the loops extend in slidable frictional engagement with the buckle and over the shoulders of the wearer into proximity to the ends of the rear portions of the loops and returning beneath themselves in loop form back ox'er the shoulders to the buckles to which they are positively secured, a triangular open centered connector located overv each shoulder blade of the wearer to one side of each of which one of the aforesaid rear loop portions is secured and around the op posite side of which the front portion of the loop freely extends, a cross connection securing the remaining or opposite sides of the triangular connectors, one end of such cross connection being'secured to one of the triangular connectors and looped freely around the opposingside of the other triangular connector, and a buckle for trictionally engaging the free end of the cross connector to the main portion thereof.
