Be it known that I Jonx J. LEE. :1 citr zen of the United States. residing at (.hirago, in the county of (look and State of llli' nois, have invented new and useful improve ments in Card Holders, of which the 'lollowing is a specification.

This invention relates to card holders and an object of the invention is to provide a device which is simple in construction and may be easily and quickly attached to any suitable object su h as a cigar box, cartons or boxes used For unluining txinilies or various other mercantile articles. whereby a price card or a card setting forth the merits of the article may he supported i'roni the container.

Another object of this invention is to pro vide a card holder as specified which is constructed of spring wire bent to provide spaced attaching and card gripping portions, each of which include looped portions having their terminals sharpened for biting into the container or card, which biting action is urged or augmented by the resiliency imparted to the loops by their tornnr tion.

Other objects of the invention will appear in the following detailed description and in the accompanying drawing wherein:

Referring more particularly to the drawing the improved card holder compri es an attaching portion 1 and a card carrying por tion 2 which are connrvyted by the connecting portion 3. The ends of the card engaging ends 9 are preferably sharpened so that they will. bite into the card A. and securely hold it in place in the holder. The formation of the loops 6 and the resiliency of the wire urge the ends 9 into card gripping positions.

It will be apparent, from the foregoing description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing that the improved card holder may be manufactured at a relatively low cost and that it may be easily applied to a package and will not tilt or become loose on the package during use. To remove the card holder it is only necessary to spring the loop portions 6 and 12 to move the

9 and 13 out of biting or gripping position.

It is. of course, to be understood that the invention may be constructed in various other manners and the parts associated in different relations and therefore, I do not desire to be limited inany manner except 513 set forth in the claim hereunto appended.

Having thus described my invention What I claim is:

In a card holder, 2. pair of lengths of wire twisted together intermediate their ends and having their end portions bent laterally in two directions, said laterally bent portions being shaped to provide a pair of spaced gripping loops at each end of said twisted portion, the terminals of said loops being inturned and urged into article gripping position by said loops.
