To all whom it may concern:-
Be it l Il1OW11 that I, Urrrs C. FLYNN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lexington, in the county of Fayette and State of Kentucky, have invented new and useful Improvements in Burglar Alarms, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a burglar alarm, the principal object of the invention being to provide means for sounding;- an alarm if a WlDCiOW should be opened by a burglar.
Another object of the invention is to provide means whereby the device can be rendered. inactive so that the window can be opened Without sounding the alarm,

The hammer is normally held against movement by the head of the latch 5 but when said latch is raised by the latch sectional detail view shove lever and part of the bell lever 5 the hammer Will be operated by the the bell spring to sound the alarm. A lever 6 is pivoted to. the vvi ndoW casing and has a bent part 6" engaging the sash so that when the sash is raised the lever will be moved and as the opposite end of the lever engages with the latch lever 5 this movement will cause said lever 5 strike the bell, Wire so that it can the sash free to be the alarm.
