invented certain newand useful Improvements in Washboilers, of which the following is a specification. v 5

The primary object of this invention is. to provide a wash boiler providedw'ith a-removable clothes container having a removable perforated 'bottoman d means for elevating the'cloth'es container and support the same in a raised position for allowing the water to drain from the clothes within the clothes container.

A further object of my invention is to provide means detachable from the clothes container for elevating the same and interlocking means between the wash boiler and the elevating means for supporting the clothes container in a raised position.

Other objects will appear as the nature of the invention is better understood, and the same consists of the novel form, combina tion and arrangement of parts hereinafter more fully described, shown in the accompanying drawing and claimed.

Referring more in detail to the accompanying drawing my device consists of an outer'receptacle 1 having the usual type of end handles 2, and positioned within this receptacle is an inner clothes container 3 sup ported on the bottom wall of the receptacle 1. Spaced from the bottom end of the clothes container 3 is an inwardly projecting annular flange 4 for supporting a removable bottom plate 5 which is perforated at 6.

The top wall of the container 3 is bent over upon itself as at? providing a bead, edge for receiving the reinforcing wire 8. The opposite ends of the container are out away forming rectangular openings 9 and a reinforcing wire 8 is bent inwardly at 10 defining a U-shaped hook engageable portion at each end of the receptacle 3 and immediately below the openings 9 of the container.

While there is herein shown and described the preferred embodiment of the present invention it is nevertheless to be understood that minor changes may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope thereof as claimed.

What is claimed as new is 1. A wash boiler of the class described including an outer receptacle, a clothes 'c'ontainer removably positioned within the outer receptacle, detachable means for elevating the inner receptacle and rotatable hook members carried by the opposite ends of the m I V 4 1,426,257

outer receptacle for detachable engagement with the elevating means for maintaining the clothes container in a raised position.

2. A wash boiler of the class described including a main outer receptacle, a clothes container removably positioned therein, the upper edge of the clothes container having rectangular cutout portions therein and at opposite ends thereof, the extreme upper end of the said clothes container carrying a reinforcing wire, elevating means disposed at opposite ends of the container and en gageable with the reinforcing wire adjacent the rectangular openings for elevating the said clothes container, and hook members carried by the opposite ends of the outer receptacle for interlocking engagement with the elevating means for supporting the clothes container in a raised position.
