The primary object' of this invention is tov provide afsafety device of the character described which can be readily attached to a door in order to prevent the slamming of the door, which not onlyfshortens the life of vthe door and the frame structure-"but often `s-.extremity a causes injury to tothe door. y Y A., ,Y
