and has for its object the provision of a tool by means of which seams may be quickly and easily ripped.

Referring more particularly to the drawings, I have shown the device as formed from a sheet of metal 15, preferably steel, which may be nickel lated or otherwise coated, if found desirab e. rom the foregoing description and a study of the drawings it will be apparent that I have thus provided a very simple and inexpensive tool which may be very easily operated and which will be very efficient in performing the function for which it is intended.
While I have shown and described the preferred embodiment of my invention, it is of course to be understood that I reserve the right to make such changes in the form, construction, and arrangement of parts as will not depart from the spirit of the invention or the scope of the subjoined claim.
Having thus described my invention, I claim:
A .device of the character described comprising a sheet of resilient metal bent upon itself intermediate its ends and rebent to form a bead constituting a handle engageable by the fingers, said head bein elongated in cross section with one side formed convex for engagement by the fingers and the opposite slde formed concave for engagement by the thumb, and the opposite edge of the sheet being hardened and sharpened to form a cutting edge.
