IMPRovEMENT IN HATS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 138,430, dated April 29, 1873 application filed October 21, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JAMES ODONNELL, of the city and county of St. Louis and State of Missouri, have invented certain Improvements in Ventilated Hats, of which the following is a specification:
This invention consists iu forming inside the crown of the hat an annular chamber, into which air passes througha series of openings in the brim, the air escaping from the hat through openings in the crown. rlhe annular chamber has free communication over the sweat-band with the interior of the hat to allow the air to circulate around and cool the head. i v
