This invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and ngement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fully cescribed, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and. specifieally pointed out in the appended claims.
In describing my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views and in which:

When the shade is pulled down. and the window is open, said shade will be blown about by the wind thus damaging the shade or causing it to be wound up upon its roller. My invention relates to clamping means for holding the shade in the position shown in l and si h means consists of a pair of clamps secured to the window casing and the side edgesof the shade. Each clamp consists of an L-shaped plate 5 which has one limb screwed tothe window casing, the other limb extending outwardly to engage the rear side of the shade. I desire it to be understood that I may make changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
What I claim is I 1. ln combination with a window casing and a shade, a pair of clamps connected with the said casing, one at each side thereof, and ar-anged to grip the side edges of the shade to clamp the shade in lowered position.
