Abstract

201,319. Ireland, J. May 25, 1922. Grips, sliding wedge type. - A cord gripping device for blinds &c. of the sliding wedge type has a hole c, Fig. 4, formed in the wedge through which the cord is passed so that it is gripped against the casing by both sides of the wedge. A screw d projecting through the front or side of the casing is provided for releasing the wedge, and may be positioned in different holes a', a<2> to suit different thicknesses of cord. In a modification, Fig. 9, the wedge member is formed from a strip of sheet metal A<1> and has two holes c for the cord.
