EXERCISING DEVICE.
Application filed March 24, 1919.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I AN'roNn lVLi'rYsnK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Baltimore, in the State of Maryland, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Exercising Devices, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in 1g. 4 is an end View of one of the weights.
Fig. 5 is an end view showing both weights at one end of the bar.
Referring to the accompanying drawings,
forming part of this specification, and in which like reference numerals designate like parts throughout the several views thereof, 1 designates a bar having a number of apertures 2 extending therethrou h, and 3 weights or dumb-bells. The sai weights 3 Specification of Letters Patent.

are each provided with an aperture 4 through the center thereof and through which the bar 1 projects, and have hollow ends 5 each provided with an aperture 6 leading thereto and a nut 7 to close said aperture in said hollow ends. Said hollow ends 5 may be filled when desired to increase the weight of the weights 3, and the contents may be removed therefrom to de crease their weight. The said weights 3 are adjustable along said bar 1 and are held to the adjusted position by the bolts 8 passing through the apertures 2.
Thus it will be seen that should it be desired to use the exercising device with the weights 3 at each end, the latter can be secured thereto as shown in Fig. 1, and
shouldit be desired to use same with the weights at one end, thesaid Wei hts can be secured in osition as shown in ig. 5.
Having tiius described my invention, what I claim is:
An exercising device comprising a bar having a number of apertures therethrough, a number of weights each having a central aperture through which said bar projects and hollow ends each provided with a threaded aperture, a nut to fit each of said threaded apertures, and bolts projecting through the apertures in said bar to hold the weights to their adjusted osition.
