-Be it known that I, CHARLES. R. BIRDSEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hinsdale, in the county of Dupage and State of Illinois, have invented ertain new. and useful Improvements in Plaster- Board, (Case C,) of which the following is a description. y

My invention belongs to Athat general class of devices knownV as plaster board`or` the like, and relates particularly to aniinproved board which" will be simple, pleasing, conl venient, durable, satisfactory, and efficient,

and which may be accurately and economicallymanufactured. The invention relates particularly to a type of board in which the body^of plaster, plaster Paris, or plasticV material or the equivalent is inclosed on'\one n covermg sheets. In th1s case, one sheet as or both face sides and is inclosed on one or both Opposite edges, and in which the edges will conform to a desired definite specification as to size and shape. Manyother objects and advantages of the construction herein shown and described will be obvious lto those skilled in the art from the disclosure herein given.

To this end my invention consists in the novel construction, arrangement and combination of parts herein shown and described, and more particularly pointed out in the claims.

Referring to the drawings, particularly Figs. 1 and 2, 1 represents a body of suits able material, as for example, plaster, plaster s,

, In the type illustrated in Figs. 1 and 2, the two covering sheets are bent or folded over .atl the edges, it being understood that one or to'flow between` the two which serves to seal and secure'them together.

In the construction 4shown in Fig. 3, 11 represents the body, and 12 and l13 the two shown in 11 is folded as at 14 and l5, the same being first scored at 16, if desired. The sheet 13 is folded as at 17, being iirst scored at 19. When constructed as shown in this figure, I preferto make the foldediover' por# tion 17 of. a width so that the edge 18 will seat or engage with the folded over portion1 of the other'covering sheet.

It will be noted with these constructions the edge is substantially completely inclosed, as before mentioned this may be at one or both sides. Obviously if the sheets were integral and wrapped over one edge, then only one edge would need to be inclosed. The resulting product has a straight smooth edge,

What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. A plaster board of the kind described,

comprising a, body of suitableA material and cover sheets arranged one on each face side thereof, 'said sheets being folded over to overlie the edge 0f the board, the extreme y edge portion' of one sheet being folded inwardly and embedded in the body, said edge portion of the sheet extending into the body Lenawee 3. A plaster board of the kind described, comprising a body of suitable material, and cover sheets arranged at each side thereof, said sheets folded over the side edges of the board, the extreme edges of said sheets folded inwardly and embedded in the board.
