HENRY SELIOK, OF LEWISTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA.
IMPROVEMENT IN PLOWS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 135,850, dated February 11, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, HENRY SELIoK, of Lewistown, in the county of Mifflin and State of Pennsylvania, have invented an Improvement in Plows, of which the following is aspecificationz' This invention consists in a lug on the inner side of the mold-board, arranged to support the inner end of the bealn, and to provide for attachment, by bol-t, of the beam directly to the mold-board, instead of, as heretofore, to the land-side, land-side handle, or cross-bar, in combination with a bolt arranged to attach the beam in front of the mold-board to the sheath of the plow, whereby a steady hold of the several parts and a central draft may be obtained.
In the accompanying drawing, which represents a side View of a plow from its land-side, in illustration of my improvement, A is the wooden beam, B the land-side, G the sheath, and D the mold-board, which latter is made with an inner projecting lug, b, for attachment of the beam in its rear directly to the moldboard by a bolt, 0, said beam being further secured, in front of such lug, to the sheath by a bolt, (1.
By this attachment of the beam to the moldboard a perfectly-central draft is obtained for the plow, and a steady support of the mold board by a direct or positive connection with the beam is eli'ected.
What is here claimed, and desired to be secnred by Letters Patent, is-
