1 0 all whom it may concern Be it lznown that I, FRED W. JoNns, a citizen of the United States, residing at Swanwick, in the county of Perry and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful lmpr venients in Wrenches; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawn as, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

Reference now being had to the details of the drawings by letter:
A designates a fixed jaw having a handle 13 integral therewith. One face of the jaw form a part of V is recessed as at C and has a shoulder 1) about a portion thereof, and is apertured at.
Said jaw N is held in different positions within the dove-tailed recess by means of a screw R mounted in an aperture in the plate I.
By the'provision of a wrench embodying the features of my invention, it will be noted that means is provided whereby the device may be adjusted to grip bolts of different diameters by simply adjusting the sliding jaw in different positions relative to the fixed jaw, and by swinging the fixed jaw back and forth the bolt may be gripped and pulled.
What I claim to be new is:
A wrench comprising a fixed jaw with an integral handle, the face of the jaw being recessed, a plate pivotally mounted in said recess and having a dove-tailed recess upon its inner face, a sliding jaw having a shank portion with dove-tailed lconnection with the plate, and a screw for holding the sliding' jaw in an adjusted position.
