Be it known that I, JAMES A. Bofrnrox, a citizen 'of the United States, residing at Watertowmin the countyof Jefferson and State of Wisconsin, have invented a new and useful Hanger, of which the followlng is a speci'cation.

This invention relates to garmenthangers and more particularly to hangers employed for hanging comparatively light walsts or dresses. 1

The primary objectofthe inventlon 1s to provide a hanger supplied withy means for preventing slipping of a waist or other garment therefrom.

A further object of the invention is to provide a hanger of this character having an anti-slide device secured to the upper curvued surfaces' thereof, for contacting with the garment, thereby preventing the same from slipping.

'With the foregoing and other objects lview which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides1 in the combination and arrangement' of parts and 1n the details of construction heremafter de scribed and claimed, it being understood' that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention herein disclosed, may be made within the scope of what is claimed without departing from the spirit of the invention.

Extending body member and terminating at a point in close proximity with the hooked member, are the' anti-slipping devices 1'5'and 16, each of which includes a comparatively soft mate-- rial provided with transversely extending ribs, or any other plain pile fabric or felt to provide irregular surfaces for engaging the waistxs, supported thereby.

These anti-slipping devices 15 and 16 include side portions which extend 'over the side edges of the body, and are secured thereto by suitable securing means, such as glue, paste -or by any other practical means, the
