IMPROVEMENT IN WASHING-MACHINES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 129,236, dated July 16, 1872.
SPECIFICATION. To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN JONES, of Fairbury, county of Livingston, State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Washing-Machine and I do hereby declare that the folloW-.
ing is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being made to the annexed drawing making a part of this specification, Wherein-- Figure l is a Wash-tub, with the frames and dashers. Figs. 2 and 3 are frames, made to fit inside the tub, with space at the ends for operation, as seen at 4 and 4.
There are a number of dashers in each frame, 16. The rubbers O and O are fastened to each dasher by a wire, connecting the Whole with lever at the points E and E. The pressure required is effected by means of a spring, as seen, A and A.
The operation is effected by a lever, B, the
fulcrum made secure at the end of the tub;
