What is claimed is:
1. The combination with a rail tie, of a bearing member, and an angle lever pivotally connected with said bearing member, said lever including a relatively short arm engageable with a railbase flangeon the tie and movable transversely of the axis of the lever in such engagement, and a relatively long arm engageable with the rail base flange upon movement of the short arm transversely past the pivotal axis of the lever.
