lle it known that I. Vtlinnraiu J. VVARnnLL, a citizen of the United States, residin in Brooklyn. in the county of Kings and t tate ot' New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Squirt-Cans, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates in general to eontainers for liquids of various sorts and has more partieular reference to containers provided with a flexible bottom adapted to he pressed inwardly to produce ejeetment of the Contents.

A further ohjeet of the invention is the provision of such a strueture in which the part provided with the perforation through whieh the liquid is ejeeted may he readily inserted after filling.

Spouts of this eharaeter are more or less relatively expensive to inanufaeture and they extend ont from the ean either ahove it or to the side where they are readily damaged. This invention aims to eliminate these evils through the provision ot' a ,-onstruetion oeeupying no more room and eosting little more to make than the ordinary serew Cap can.
Numerous other and improved ohjeets and advantages ofthe invention will be aliiparent as it is heiter understood from the following description when considered in eonnection with the accompanying drawing illustrating a preferred embodiment thereof,

tending threaded neck 13 of usual general form and carrying a perforated plug 14 and screw eap 15. The can shown on the drawing is of circular cross section, although manifestlyI it may have any preferred shape.
Referring more particularly to Fig. 3 it` will be noted that the upper end of the neck 13 extends inwardly at 1li to provide an annular horizontal iange, and downwardly at 17 to provide a frietion seat wall. The friction plug or eap eonsists in the present instance of a single Sheet of metal formed into a central dome 18. an upwardly extending friction wall 19 and an outwardly ex tending horizontal Harige 21. The center of the dome is perforated at to give an opening suliiciently restricted to prevent liquid within the container from flowing ont unless atmospherie pressure he removed or unless added pressure he applied to the liquid within the Container. Around the perforation 2Q is formed an upwardly extended spout portion adapted to he einhedded in the gasket 25 (Fig. 5l to malte. a hernietiil seal, and also adapted to deliver the eontents of the container elear of the top sul-fave of the plug 14 so as not to eolleet on the same. 1. The combination of a container having a vertical inwardly presented friction seat wall; an inner ca) having a vertical outwardly presented rietion seat wall adapted to engage within said inwardly presented friction wall to forni a tight closure, said inner cap beingI formed with a perforation and with an upwardly extended spout portion around the perforation; an outer cap ineldsinp,l said inner cap and adjustably connec-ted with the container; and a packing in said outer cap adapted to receive eaid spout portion and seal said perforation.

T he combination of a container havinga screw threaded neck the top edge of which bent inward away from the screw threaded portion and thence downward to form an inwardly presented vertical friction seat wall; an inner upwardly extending cap formed with a perforation and with an outs wardly presented vertical friction seat wall bent up from the lower edge of the cap and dapted to engage within the friction wall f the neck to form a tight closure, and formed with a Harige bent outward from the outwardly presented seat wall and adapted to engage on top of the neck to hold the said nozzle and perforation at a distance above the top of the neck of the can; a screw cap engaging the said neck and inclosing said inner cap; and a packingr in the screw cap adapted to be pressed bythe same over and on to said perforation to seal the saine.
3, In a squirt can, in combination: a frontainer haying a resilient betteln and a screw threaded neck the top edge of which is bent inward away from the screw threaded por tion and thence downward to forni an in wardly presented vertical friction seat wall a domed cap formed with a perforation and an upwardly extending nozzle surrounding said perforation, and formed with an outwardly presented vertical friction sent wall bent up from the lower edge of the dome and adapted to engage within the friction wall of the neck to form a tight closure, and formed with a Harige bent outward from the outwardly presented seat wall and adapted to engage on top of the neck to hold the said nozzle and perforation at a distance above the top of the neck of the can; a screw cap engaging the said neck and inclosing said domed cap; and a pack- A ing in the screw cap adapted to be pressed by the same over and around said nozzle and perforation to seal the same, said pack-- ing heilig held out of contact with the joint between the inner cap and the can neck.
