To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Rosr. BINNER Scoo- NAMILLo, of New York, in the county of New York, and in the State of New York, have invented a certain new and use ful Improvement in Combination Bust-Supporters and Shoulder-Braces, and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.

The object of my invention has been to provide a combination bust-supporter and shoulder brace which shall be effective and comfortable, and capable of being made attractive in appearance, and to such ends my invention consists in the combined bust-suppogter and shoulder brace hereinafter specifie In the accompanying drawing, the figure is a perspective view of a combined bustsupporter and shoulder brace embodying my invention.

While I have chosen, as an illustration of my invention, that embodiment which is the best embodiment known to me, such embodiment is to be re arded as typical only of many possible em odiments.

The combined bust supporter and shoulder brace illustrated in the drawing comprises a front piece 4, preferably of inelastic ma terial and extending to each side.

2 and 3 connect front piece 4: with stiffened eyelet pieces. These back ieces preferably are formed of elastic strips and 8 running diagonally downward from said eyelet ieces. Bust supporting pockets 5, prefera 1y of lace, are secured to the upper edge of inelastic piece 4, and each pocket is gathered at the to to 've the desired shape to the pocket. t wil be noted in the embodiment disclosed the pockets are substantially triangular in shape. The disposition of the elastic back pieces diagonally permits the utilization of a portion of their elasticity in the direction of pull imparted by the shoulder straps. The

inelastic member at the frontretains the garment in position a ainst the all of the elastic side pieces an also mamtains the shape of the bust receiving pockets. The stiffened eyelet pieces maintain the back in upright position without wrinkling and aid in equalizing the elasticity of the back pieces. The elastic insert at the bottom insures a close fit and prevents the garment from riding up.

It will be observed that my combined bust-supporter and shoulder brace has, among others, the following advantages 2-- It can be used with a very low corset or with no corset at all and stlll preserve the shape of the bust and erectness of the shoulders. While this very desirable result is attained, the construction is such that it affords ease and freedom of movement. W t e the bust-supporting parts will eectively perform their function, they can ct be made of light and attractive materia such as lace.

I claim- 1. A combined bust supporter and shoulder brace formed with. an inelastic front piece,independent bust receiving pockets sccured to said front piece and gathered at the top to form substantially a trianarshaped pocket, means to secure together the inner edges of said triangular pieces and meansto secure said su porter on the body.
